We will then do our best to match your experience and requirements to the gliders we have available on your preferred dates. Licensing is a big part of the requirements to fly in South Africa and we need to do some leg work before you arrive to arrange for a South African validation of your license. To fly any of our gliders you will need to have a class 2 medical and a recognised glider pilots license such as an SPL issued by your country’s CAA. Facilities Fee. There are direct flights from most major cities to Johannesburg. From there, our regular clients either hire a car and drive the 400km to Bloemfontein on good roads and motorways, or take an internal flight to Bloemfontein and again hire a car for the duration of their stay.
